Beats meet Artaud

A tribute to Artaud, Ginsberg, and Burroughs, but also a tribute to all those whom the history of the Beat Generation has often overlooked, a tribute to Poets and Dreamers, to Passers and Seekers, to Lovers and Madmen, to Seers and Visionaries. A tribute to Carl Solomon and Gerd Stern, to Anaïs Nin and André Breton, to Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Maurice Girondias, to Philip Lamantia and Brion Gysin, to Leroi Jones and Bob Kaufman, to Jean-Jacques Lebel and Claude Pélieu, and to all the madmen who dreamed (during) that era.

Embark on a short journey through space and time, in search of the spirit of Artaud, in asylums and bars, deserts, and cemeteries, from Big Sur to the Sierra Tarahumara, from the Théâtre du Vieux Colombier to the Six Gallery, and from the Beat Hotel in Paris to the Electric Lady Studio in New York City, where Patti Smith recorded The Peyote Dance in 2019.

And listen to the cries of revolt against Moloch and the Anti-Dream Brigade, five minutes before some artificial intelligence decides to write the book it thinks you want or need to read.

The American version is expected to be released at the end of 2026.
